Put on Your Sunday Clothes

So, this is me

January 30th, 2010

I sat here for a few moments staring at the screen, trying to think of a snazzy, hip, rad title for my blognever mind the fact that I just dated myself and left today’s youth cringing at my use of snazzy, hip, and rad in the same sentence.

I digress.

Life in Frederick’? Boring. ‘David’s Blog’? Ditto.

How aboutwhen I was in my high school chorale, we sang a song fromMamethat included these lyrics:

Put on your Sunday clothes, there’s lots of world out there,
Get out the brillantine and dime cigars.
We’re gonna find adventure in the evening air -
Girls in white, In a perfumed night, Where the lights are bright as the stars!

While I have enjoyed many wonderful experiences in my life, I haven’t exactly lived up to that quote. But maybemaybe I still can. I just bought a new house in a new city, so there is much exploring to do. There remain many things I would like to see and do in this world, and I still have a fair collection of Sunday clothes (and more casual clothes, too), so let’s see what happens.

And if I decide that mylots of world out theremeans staying in my house and trying new recipes for cakes, cookies, grilled meats, etc., I hope you won’t hold that against me. In fact, maybe you will come over for a taste!

It will be nice to have you along for the ride.
