Mojofiti had another great release from the Development team. This time, the team focused on giving users the ability to import a blog from an external site (such as wordpress.com, blogger.com, etc), and blog full-time at Mojofiti. As Mojofiti uses a modified version of WordPress to facilitate blogging, you can use familiar tools on Mojofiti as you continue your blogging efforts.
Getting Started
In the Mojofiti blog “Dashboard,” the section named “Tools” has changed. There is now a new option within the Tools menu – “Import” (as shown below):

- Import allows you to move your blog to Mojofiti from an external site
Import Options
As no two blog sites are exactly the same, Mojofiti has provided tools to help you import your existing blog from an outside source. The list available under “Import” looks like the following:

- Insure that you choose the correct import tool for your blog
Let’s jump in a little deeper and see what each one does:

- Blogroll - Import links in OPML format.
- Blogware – Import posts from Blogware.
- Categories and Tags Converter – Convert existing categories to tags or tags to categories, selectively.
- DotClear – Import categories, users, posts, comments, and links from a DotClear blog.
- GreyMatter – Import users, posts, and comments from a Greymatter blog.
- LiveJournal – Import posts from LiveJournal using their API.

- Textpattern – Import categories, users, posts, comments, and links from a Textpattern blog.
- Ultimate Tag Warrior – Import Ultimate Tag Warrior tags into WordPress tags.
- WordPress – Import posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags from a WordPress export file.
Keep in mind that each Import tool has a very specific purpose – so make absolutely certain that you choose the correct one. Each has it’s own series of steps that guides you through the import process to insure you’re happy with the migration of your blog to Mojofiti
